Room Barrier: The Sexual Desires Office!
This AV, which sounds like an RPG dungeon title, is a reboot of the "SOD" "Room Barrier" series, and through this, it's declaring that the unique "SOD" different from those flashy sluts outside is back. Of course, this isn't some magic circle literature or workplace inspirational film; the "Room Barrier" series was one of the founding generals that made "SOD" successful.
What is "Room Barrier"? It's basically a room barrier. In the story, the male lead inherits a mysterious power and turns the office into his "Sex Processing Office Room." What does that mean? It means that the employees in this room aren't handling Excel spreadsheets; instead, they're energetically engaging in "meat toilet business." In plain terms, it's sex toy business. This setup sounds like a cult manga, doesn't it? It's not exactly novel, but it's at least more creative than a simple office romance!
This film goes for a "dominant CEO fantasy" route; the male lead appears with his own BGM, lets out a sleazy and smug laugh, and then starts introducing his "barrier office" to the camera. The beautiful female employees are brainwashed into puppets obeying the barrier, and after clocking in every morning, they start their "business." Additionally, the varied scenes are a big highlight, with conference room play, pantry play, and even action by the photocopier, turning the boring workplace into a magical paradise.
People used to joke that the directors "SOD" likes to use must have a filmmaker's heart, because indeed, compared to the sex scenes, "SOD" wants to express a kind of absurdity that only exists in a fantasy world, how human's base nature projects onto the pleasure of controlling women, especially in their planned series; "Department Barrier" and "Brainwashing Drill" were once neck and neck.
As a comeback work, SDDE-728 might not match the top ones in the planned series in terms of quality or cast, but the sincerity is visibly overflowing, including bringing back Inugami Ryo, who has his own screenwriting skills, to direct this piece—you can sense the spark of "MAKE SOD GREAT AGAIN" starting to burn. We're fortunate to once again see that magical house granting the pathetic male lead the chosen power to defile all species inside, this time joining the old acquaintance Tony Ohgi to fully indulge in wicked thoughts!
"Room Barrier ~Ohayou Shokun. Koko ga Boku no Sei Shori Office Room... Ihi!~" is a film that relies on fantastical settings and absurdity to carry it. If you like workplace themes and want something with a different twist, or if you're simply interested in the "barrier" element, this piece will definitely satisfy your curiosity for the bizarre. However, if you're looking for a logical plot or character depth, don't get your hopes up too high, because this isn't "Hanzawa Naoki."
