Tsukasa Aoi - November Move to Madonna: I Chased Every Mile, Leaving the Season with You

Aoi Tsukasa
This morning, out of nowhere, like a bolt from the blue, when Madonna announced their lineup for the first half of November, 【Akari Minori】's name suddenly popped up, and the title said "That S-level exclusive has shockingly transferred." WTF!! When I saw the news, I smashed Fukada's mouse pad to pieces. Although Madonna has been expanding the age range for their exclusives over the past two years and has launched several series suitable for people in their twenties, my little sweetheart Akari is only 24 years old! She's just started her social internship and hasn't even done many business trips yet—how can she survive in a stingy company like Madonna that wouldn't even splurge on two hotel rooms for a trip?? She's only 24 years old! I really can't figure out how 【Akari Minori】 will develop at M Company. Although their production is top-notch (truly first-rate), going there will definitely give her a different platform, like reaching the end of the dream at Madonna, skipping twenty years of detours.... But Akari is too skinny, too delicate, and her image doesn't have that "smoky" vibe like 【Anzu Matsu】. I think there might not be many productions at M Company that suit her, but that doesn't mean the transfer is bad. Given Madonna's production quality and scale, this isn't a demotion—in fact, the stage isn't small at all. But the director this time isn't Mr. Mame, it's Bunpaku Maeda, who isn't exactly tightly tied to M Company either. So, no matter how I look at it, this whole thing feels off, like she's just making a short stop at Madonna... more like borrowing M Company's shell for a quick appearance..... But what's even stranger is that Madonna labeled this as a 【shock transfer】, not like when 【Yui】 went to Madonna and it was just marked as "Madonna debut," which means this is a nailed-down company switch... I genuinely don't get it—as a senior staff member at both Attackers and Idea Pocket, 【Akari Minori】 doesn't seem like someone they'd let go. I can't imagine why A Company or IP Company would release her. If they were reshuffling staff, it shouldn't be her; in terms of sales, she's not at the top but definitely not at the bottom in A Company and IP Company. In terms of popularity, before her account flopped, she was in the top 20 active rankings, and she's been an image girl for many events with plenty of endorsements, so her popularity is solid. As for her agency, C-more has some clout. Saying all this is just because I don't want 【Akari Minori】 to go from dual exclusive to single exclusive, sigh, it feels like she won't stick around at M Company for long. On top of that, they haven't announced which company she's transferring from to Madonna, but I really hope it's not IP.... But this involves other factors. IP's roster is pretty saturated, with only one slot per month and so many people, plus the clear generational divide between old, middle, and young. Traditionally, IP launches a new exclusive in December every year (not sure about this year), but 【Akari Minori】 is still a core member, and IP doesn't have many of those anyway, so they wouldn't just let her go. So, where's the issue? This morning, someone analyzed that based on IP's recent selections, they're probably compromising with the market and moving away from their slim, pure beauty girl style, shifting toward something like the Aiswan route. From 【Hachimitsu】 and 【Anji Kaoru】, you can see they're ready to compete with Aiswan.... It's possible, but I believe IP wouldn't suddenly pivot after twenty years of this path—they're not going to have a "eureka moment" about market rules now. If they did, I'd be the first to turn from fan to hater. What about A Company? Attackers' current exclusive lineup isn't too big and is easy for the market to digest. At this stage, they'd only consider clearing spots if someone from another brand is transferring in, like from DMM, Aiswan, or IP clearing people, and A Company wants to take them on. Otherwise, with just a few exclusives, 【Akari Minori】 is still one of the top ones, so they wouldn't let her go at this point. Of course, maybe her salary is too high, and A Company thinks they can't recoup the cost (but I doubt it)~ I'm more inclined to think 【Akari Minori】 is transferring from A Company to M Company, or maybe it's just a temporary stop to broaden her roles before coming back. Of course, this time the producer is still an old acquaintance from IP, While Mr. Mame is busy working on Kawaii Company... I suspect M Company really doesn't have many scripts that fit Akari Minori, so I can boldly guess it'll be short—maybe two or three films, at most six, because her image, age, and vibe just don't mesh with M Company's style. No need to bring up 【Rio Kuriyama】 or anything; Madonna's selling point is atmosphere, and Akari's doesn't match. So, I still don't get who orchestrated this. If it were long-term, negotiating with Premium would make more sense, and the scheduling is off too—choosing a date that clashes with IP... So, it probably won't be long-term at Madonna, or it just seems backwards. Is it possible for something like Julia and 【Shima】's multi-exclusive setup? If it were multi-exclusive, none of these issues would matter, but I don't think Akari has the conditions for that right now, since all brands are short on production time, not exclusives. Multi-exclusives aren't realistic at this stage. If things really turn out as I think, with 【Akari Minori】 moving from A to M and only staying briefly at M Company, her future could develop in three ways: 1. At Madonna, she broadens her content and then returns to A Company to continue as a dual exclusive. This could be seen as an internal Kitakyushu adjustment, like "Akari Minori going for some training, and Madonna testing the waters with a beauty girl." This scenario makes logical sense and fits Akari's current status as a high-popularity beauty girl. 2. After leaving Madonna, her agency C-more could set her up in a mode like 【Julia】 or 【Shima】, focusing mainly on IP Company and appearing as an exclusive in North Capital brands like Wanz or Premium. This would be a way to expand, but the current market might not offer such opportunities. 3. After leaving Madonna, 【Akari Minori】 becomes a single exclusive, only for Idea Pocket, but I really don't want that for her. Basically, these are the few possibilities. Given Akari's current status of raising the average face value among active actresses, I don't think this will be seen as a demotion. Even M Company's introduction clearly says: "That S-level exclusive." An S-level exclusive, so it's definitely not a demotion or a mistake—they probably just wanted to shuffle between brands. Maybe it's because her scripts are in a rut and needs a change, so I'm more inclined to think she'll continue as a dual or even multi-exclusive in the future.
