Natsuiro Mika: History's Clumsiest Athlete, But Cowgirl Queen!
“Mika Natsuiro (or Mika Natsuiro), she’s a new talent from the studio ‘Moodyz’ set to debut on August 19th. Don’t let that cover photo of her in a sports jacket fool you into thinking she’s a jack-of-all-trades; in reality, this 20-year-old university student is a total klutz when it comes to sports, and we’re talking top-tier level:
To really confirm just how much of a sports klutz she is, let’s quickly check out her performance in the trailer. She runs painfully slow, can’t even kick a soccer ball, swings and misses at tennis, flings the paddle away in table tennis, and nearly trips while jumping rope. Other studios’ character setups feel forced, but for Mika Natsuiro, it’s not an act—she genuinely has zero athletic coordination; so, will this newbie be just as clumsy in bed? Don’t get misled by that cover line ‘SEX苦手じゃだめですか? (Is it not okay to be bad at sex?)’, because Mika Natsuiro—
Is incredibly skilled!
This girl with her watery big eyes, skin so pale it glows, and a smile that’s as healing as Haru from ‘Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun’—the epitome of a standard Japanese pure and innocent type—is actually a riding position powerhouse! Once she hits the bed, she transforms into a Super Saiyan from ‘Dragon Ball Z’! From her initial shyness and hesitation to full throttle in cowgirl position, her performance is jaw-dropping. Especially in that one 20-minute riding scene, her hip movements are as smooth as riding a wild, bucking horse, with her eyes shifting from dazed to fiery—it’s a perfect blend of acting and raw instinct.
Her vocal performance in riding position is also god-tier. Her breathing escalates from soft tentative gasps to uninhibited moans, with layers of intensity like a live show in ‘BanG Dream!’, each sound hitting the viewer’s soul. Especially in the group scenes, even when she’s ‘surrounded’, she maintains control of the rhythm, that ‘I’m weak but I’m strong’ contrast is adorable, making me want to award her the ‘Best Newcomer Hip Power Award’! This girl proves with her actions: So what if she’s a sports klutz? She can still carry the whole scene in bed!
I have to say, the sports klutz persona is pretty entertaining and one of the noteworthy newcomers lately! Furthermore, I think this film carries a deeper message about ‘self-breakthrough’ philosophy. Her self-proclaimed ‘SEX苦手’ reflects the common anxieties young people have about their abilities, much like Subaru’s repeated failures in ‘Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World’. Yet, she discovers her riding position talent on set, like finding a key to unlock her true self. This reminds me of Nietzsche’s ‘Übermensch’ concept: True strength comes from facing your weaknesses head-on and turning them into power.
The ‘riding position’ setup in the film also has cultural intrigue. In Japanese AV culture, riding position symbolizes female initiative and control, and Mika Natsuiro’s shift from passive to dominant challenges gender stereotypes. She uses her hip power to tell viewers: Who says girls can’t take the lead? Who says a sports klutz can’t turn things around? This awakening of confidence is like an AV version of ‘Rocky’, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say so.”
